Are You Supporting Stuck, or Complex Cases with Therapeutic Assessment

If you’re working with a client who feels stuck, misunderstood, or slow to make progress, Therapeutic Assessment (TA) can offer a fresh perspective and a powerful reset—without interrupting or replacing the therapeutic work you’re already doing.

How It Works:

You can share your clinical impressions, diagnostic questions, and therapeutic goals at the outset.

Your client will collaborate with me to identify key questions they want answered through the assessment.

You’ll be invited to attend the collaborative feedback session and/or the intervention session (if desired), so you can witness how insights emerge in real time.

You’ll receive a copy of the TA letter—a narrative, client-centered summary of the findings that is designed to support continued growth in therapy.

Who It’s Helpful For:

Clients with complex presentations or diagnostic uncertainty

Cases where therapy has plateaued despite your best efforts

Clients with limited insight, emotional avoidance, or shame-based defenses

Therapists wanting a second lens to better understand neurodivergent, trauma-exposed, or highly defended clients

Clients who have trouble integrating feedback or developing a coherent narrative about their experience

Therapeutic Assessment doesn’t compete with therapy—it complements it. My goal is to help you and your client feel reoriented, empowered, and re-engaged in the work you’ve already started. If you have a client in mind, I’m happy to consult with you about whether TA might be a good fit.
